16-17 February 2012, Thai Tax 2012: A Conference on Regulatory Updates & Efficient Tax Planning

Partner Picharn Sukparangsee, head of our tax practice group, will take part in a panel discussion on "Taxation on Investment for Foreign Investors: International tax Planning Issues", on Friday, 17 February 2012 at 2:15 pm. The panel discussion will include:

tax incentives for investment projects in Thailand compared to other countries in the region;
taxation on security;
how to construct a tax-efficient investment; and
major tax issues and how to minimise tax exposures/consequences.

The aims of the conference are to offer business and networking opportunities, as well as knowledge and idea sharing. It is more crucial than ever for tax practitioners, both foreign investment enterprises and corporations, to keep abreast of what these changes are; and the real implications and impacts on their businesses in Thailand.

7-8 February 2012: Labour Law, Employee Relations and Collective Bargaining 2012

Tada Sastarasatit, head of our employment and labour practice group, will give a presentation on “Impacts and Solutions on Termination of Employment”, at 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm on Saturday 7 February 2012. The presentation will include:

meaning of employment termination;
cases of fair and unfair dismissal;
potential liability of employer; and
why complaint is filed despite compensation already being made to employee.
