“AIPPI Dinner Meeting: AIPPI – Past and Future Activities and Update on Current and Active IP Issues”

On Thursday 18 August 2011, in conjunction with the regional visit of Ms. Karen Abraham, Assistant Secretary General of the AIPPI Bureau, the AIPPI Thai group arranged a dinner meeting on current AIPPI activities and further promotion of AIPPI in Thailand. It was the first meeting hosted by the AIPPI Thai group, which was also open to non-members. Approximately 35 delegates followed the invitation by the AIPPI Thai group, almost half of them being prospective new members. The AIPPI Thai group has been honored by the presence of Mrs. Pajchima Tanasanti, Director-General of the Office of the Department of Intellectual Property.

The meeting started with the welcome speech of Mr. Chavalit Uttasart, President of the AIPPI Thai Group and was followed by Ms. Abraham’s introduction of AIPPI and recent AIPPI activities, highlighting working topics in relation to the Madrid Protocol and its effects on the national level.
